KANHA NATIONAL PARK

Popularly considered as one of the best administered parks in Asia, this tiger reserve is globally famous for saving Barasingha from extinction. The royal Bengal tigers are found here in good numbers and it is the largest national park in Madhya Pradesh with an area of 940 sq. km. The park is equally popular as a bird watching destination with over 350 species of birds and flora being found here.

Hallon Sanctuary, Banjar Sanctuary, Phen Sanctuary and the buffer zone together comprised to form the Kanha Tiger Reserve in the year 1973.
