The land that encouraged Rudyard Kipling to write that all-time favorite, "The Jungle Book" and give us beloved Mowgli and Sher Khan is located in the southern area of the Satpura range and is divided in nearly two equal parts by the river Pench. The park, along with the tigers, is home to over 285 resident and migratory birds as well as the elusive leopards, which are found in good numbers.
